Due to popular demand for an event calendar, we’ve created the community calendar using a new calendar tool. Through this tool, anybody can add an event and have it appear on the public calendar. It also gives a simple user interface for easily finding about upcoming pax community events.

In order to add an event for the first time, you will need to follow the following steps:

Create an account

Return to the Calendar

Click the +Post Your Event button at the top of the calendar.

Enter the details of your event.

Select the appropriate categories (PM Moe Fwacky or Zerzhul on the PAX Forums to add more categories if you don’t see an appropriate one available for your event)

Click Publish

???

PROFIT!

Note: Pre-PAX Events and Post-PAX events should only be used for events occurring either one week before or one week after PAX and in the same city (Seattle or Boston).

You can filter what shows on your calendar by clicking on the Categories drop-down at the top of the calendar and selecting the category you wish to view. If you wish to link to a filtered calendar, follow the steps below:

Click on an event in the main calendar that falls within the category you wish to link

Click on the category within the event page.

Copy the URL from the address bar and paste it to your desired location.

The URL should look similar to the following: http://paxcommunity.net/calendar/?ai1ec_cat_ids=8

The PAX Community forum thread for The 6th Annual West Coast Train Trip is ready to go!

What is the West Coast Train Trip?

“The Successor to the West Coast Super Trip (the nerdy caravan that started it all) The West Coast Train Trip, or “PAXTrain” for short, is a coordinated effort for PAX-goers to ride the same train at the same time going up the western coast of the United States – both as an alternative to driving or flying, and to enjoy an intimate “mini-convention”. ”

Hit up the forum thread, and/or follow @PAXTrain on twitter to keep up with this awesome community travel event!
